HONOO/Shoot Style Unification System Guide Version 2

killbo.PNG

Kickboxers are more defensive, certain weak fighters (such as the pictured Killbo) have matches that end in a draw more frequently. To combat this, and to make successful HONOO fighters in general, you may want to merge your fighter's large damage category with their medium damage category.

Midnight Jones, an average no-frills Boxer. With Boxing edits you can make fighters that aim for the kill as soon as their opponent is in medium damage or fighters who prefer to take it slow. However, every second a match continues is another opportunity to be on the receiving end of a flash CRITICAL~!

Theory

Power Boxer

The Power Boxer is a focused and powerful fighter. They begin with a 6 in Punch OFF, the strongest starter buff of any Archetype. They start with a 4 in Punch DEF.

When they bleed, their Recovery and Spirit increase. This results in a destructive de-buff over time. Each loss via a knockout punch Striking CRITICAL decreases their punch defense parameter by 0.5.

Stance: Boxing or Koppo

  Preferred Move Style: Striking

This class may only use punches, elbow strikes, and headbutts.

Stomps are allowed out of necessity, though an interesting technique has been discovered recently, you can set pins to "nonuse" and their set percentage will prevent your fighter from taking any action until the opponent gets up. The minimum value for using this technique in a HONOO Boxer is a 60/40 split between stomping and Nonuse.  70/30 is recommended.

Kickboxer

A boxer that focuses on kicks. Their Kick OFF begins at 6, they do not receive any DEF buffs.

  Preferred Move Style: Striking

This class may use any kind of strike (except chops and lariats) but the focus on kicks must be retained. Knee strikes to the head are allowed. Like the other Striker classes, mounts and submissions are forbidden.

*Originally a debuff existed where leg endurance began at high, but degraded with every leg CRITICAL, taking 1 kick OFF point with it. This has been removed as of Version 2.
